The wisdom of Kriya yoga. First steps.

The wisdom of Kriya Yoga is following: it helps us to understand what our body is and what it is not .  Yes, to a certain extent, we consider ourselves as our body. As example, when we have a toothache, it is pretty difficult to concentrate on the Highest Self and talk about Energy and Consciousness, because only desire is to relieve the pain. It is so-called “blind zone” inside us. So the first step towards it is breaking of the false identification and understanding what we are on the physical level. It is very important because most of the time of our life we just respond to external stimuli. We have a lot of unconscious patterns of behavior. So the first you should do is to realize what you are on the physical level. How to do it? The easiest way is movements - touching, twisting, and bending. As soon as we start moving – we start understanding a great variety of our internal feelings. Thus – movements are the first step of Kriya Yoga.

You know, the variety of human movements is countless. But Kriya Yoga is Yoga and it uses a practical approach. Kriya Yoga says: “There are some movements demanded by your body.” I mean if some aliens come to the Earth and they, for instance, would look like octopuses, then, probably, they would need different movements but human bodies need a quite certain kind of movements.

Circles of Kriya yoga

Our body is an agglomerate of our Karma. All human beings have some common parts of Karma, at least because we all have similar bodies. That is why it is possible to choose several basic movements, which are the most effective for a human body. That was the way of creating exercises of Kriya Yoga. Basically, any kind of movements can be Kriya Yoga, but in Kriya Yoga we use only the most effective ones. A set of these effective movements is calls Circle of Kriya or Kriya’s Chakra.

Blind zones

Each movement in Kriya Yoga is repeated about 50 times. These movements help us to find “blind zones” in our bodies. Before we start practicing Kriya Yoga, we have never paid attention to these zones. Kriya Yoga helps us to remove these zones. As a result of practicing Kriya Yoga our physical condition improves. Our body is soaked by Energy and Consciousness and it feels gratitude to you.

Practicing Kriya Yoga could be compared with the management of a large country. Imagine, you are the king of a big country and spend all the time at the capital of your country. So there is no problem in the capital because you have an eye on it but in distant provinces there are a lot of corruption and many other different problems. And one day these problems can lead to the collapse of your state. So if you want to prevent it, you should go to the regular trips around your country. It makes your officials work better and you keep your state safe and sound.

Becoming self-aware

Roughly speaking we have more or less the same process inside our body. There are some so-called “blind zones” we don’t pay attention to and malicious processes start there. Usually it brings to some illness. Then you pay attention to this place and it takes a lot of efforts to manage with it. But you have an alternative: you can scan your body periodically and find the seeds of any problem and weed them before it becomes a real problem. Kriya Yoga helps you to feel good and it is the most demanding part of this Yoga in the modern world.

Kriya Yoga is a real diamond, because by making necessary movements for your body you also scan your body and fix all physical problems you have had. But it is not the final result – it is just a side-effect of the deeper process, which is called “Self-knowledge”. Kriya Yoga is a process of “Self-exploration” by breaking false identification.

Simple miracle. Harmony.

The more you practice Kriya Yoga the better you feel. Body is grateful to you. Then you start feeling internal resonance during your practice. It depends on time of the day, of season, it changes but you still feel it. If you fall into resonance – a miracle happens: you forget about your physical body.

Why does it happen? It comes from the deep harmony of practice: you practice and you want to continue. It is like a beautiful dance from one kriya to another. You forget about time and for a moment forget about your physical body. It is the most difficult part. All our yoga instructors are taught to find personal resonance (pace, rhythm) to each person during the yoga practice. If he/she can’t do it, then he/she isn’t a real yoga instructor.

Kriya yoga film and books

We made a tutorial movie and self-study books about Kriya Yoga. They are distributed all over the world. Some people use them for themselves first and then give others. Well, I should say I respect these people; they take the risk and try to change the world for the better. The problem is that “to practice Kriya Yoga” and “to teach Kriya Yoga” are completely different things. Kriya Yoga teacher must bring harmony to other people’s practice. Otherwise a student can’t forget about the physical body and never comes closer to the moment of breaking false identification with the gross body.

We need Consciousness and Energy inside our physical body to keep all the physical processes. But a very small part of our Consciousness and Energy is needed for it. The rest of Consciousness and Energy sink for nothing into the swamp of our gross body. We let our emotions to rule our life. You know, it is pretty difficult to talk to a person about philosophy or explain him/her the yoga axiomatic, if the person has had a headache or toothache. Because Consciousness and Energy are concentrated on the pain. Our daily life is about the same: we have a lot of useless thoughts and actions; we waste a lot of our Consciousness and Energy on it. Naturally that is the reason why we don’t have enough Consciousness and Energy for what we really need it. It is like a state treasury – if somebody always steels from it, there is no money for science, education, andart .
