01. MY THREE POSITIVES.
1. Vacation means more time for yourself.
2. The sea, sun, and ginger juice help fight a cold.
3. I've noticed how much calmer I've become in dealing with anxiety about flying, crossing borders, etc.

02. MY THOUGHTS AND DISCOVERIES.
Overnight flights. First, you need to eat at home, then on the plane, at 2 a.m., and if possible, eat something at the airport. It's as if we're used to eating at night. I'm in the same boat, caught in a whirlwind, but there's also a certain understanding that this isn't normal.

The first meal at the hotel: new arrivals pile mountains of food on their plates, as if they haven't eaten for a week. Somewhere around the second day, they calm down a bit, make more conscious choices, and eat smaller portions. Perhaps, after realizing the consequences of overeating, you gain better self-control. It's the same old method—push off the bottom, or play with the dice.

But then comes a new arrival, a new crowd of starving people from the plane sweeps up food, and it becomes contagious—those who arrived a couple of days ago also jump up and eat like they did on the first day. Apparently, they're afraid of running out of food.

But, with more days of rest and more trips to the all-inclusive, a certain immunity to this consumption race develops.
Experience and reason prevail while conditions are favorable. But if something really starts to run out, the animal instinct awakens again. Some delicacy is in short supply, so people start grabbing it as much as they can, the excitement and shortage grows, and against this backdrop, they can descend to the level of apes.

It's interesting to compare an ascetic who deliberately restrained himself and didn't indulge in pleasure to the point of bloating, with someone who overindulged for the hundredth time and developed an aversion to gluttony.
As a result, both eat little, but for different reasons. Which of them is more prone to relapse, who is freer, who has gained more experience and self-knowledge?
