One source of human contamination with toxins is the food we eat.
Toxins come from various origins, including chemicals, which are added abundantly during the growing process - so that it does not bend and grow as large as possible, to increase shelf life - the addition of antibiotics (in the broad sense of the word, “against living things”, to slow down the decomposition processes) and, in the case of processing, various flavor enhancers, garbage that has nowhere to go (such as bone meal, horns and hooves), sweeteners, dyes, etc.
The question arises, what about something to eat then?
From naturopathy: the first thing you need to do is reduce your consumption of chemicals. The chemical industry recently merged with the food industry (about 30 years ago) and our bodies are not adapted to it, plus they are constantly coming up with something new.
To reduce the consumption of chemicals, you need to cook yourself, and not buy ready-made products in boxes. When buying something, you can study the composition, be horrified by the number of additives in a simple cookie, or you can cook it yourself from two or three whole foods (if life is not a cake without cookies).
At the same time, you need to understand that manufacturers are not obliged and do not indicate many additives - the conclusion suggests itself: prepare everything yourself from whole foods.
But even whole foods are not pure. You can look for all sorts of farm and eco-friendly product options, but you need to understand that we simply don’t have standards and compliance checks; anyone can add “eco” to the box. This is called Greenwashing, the goal is to make money from gullible people.
Probably the only 100% reliable way is to grow it yourself, but this is not very possible, especially for a city dweller.
But I think you can significantly reduce your consumption of chemicals, mainly by eating plant foods.
Of course, plants are also fed, treated against pests and for storage. But animals also eat plants, and of much worse quality than what humans get. And what will the meat of an animal fed with toxic plants contain? I think that the same toxins, and 10 times more. Plus, plants are given nutritional supplements, growth hormones, antibiotics, etc.
Again, the option is to grow it yourself or take it from a trusted friend. But in a familiar village, even the chicken that they raise for themselves is actively fed with medicines, otherwise, they say, they can die in one day.
Simply put, there is a certain amount of chemistry in plants, and much more in animals - you can make a choice.
But the problem arises of providing adequate nutrition, from the point of view of micro and macro nutrients.
