Why Are Online Yoga Courses Free?

Our online courses are currently offered free of charge thanks to the financial support of our sponsors and the dedicated volunteer work of many yogis and yoginis who have trained at IOYU.

We believe that yoga education should be accessible to everyone.

Many aspiring yoga teachers do not have the financial means to pay for training—especially in regions where the standard of living is lower.

At the same time, offering courses for free comes with certain challenges.

As we have observed, it can sometimes attract people who are not genuinely interested or committed. Drawn by the word “free,” some may sign up without real intention to learn, potentially taking opportunities away from those who truly value them. In addition, not everyone fully appreciates or respects knowledge that is given freely. For this reason, we strive to find a balance and are continually working to address this challenge.

Maintaining these courses requires significant effort. It is made possible by people who generously offer their time, energy, and resources to create this gift for others, without expecting anything in return.

Perhaps one day, you too will feel inspired to do the same—once you discover the profound potential of yoga as a path to realizing your True Self. And in time, you may wish to share this knowledge with others who are ready to receive it.

Yoga knowledge belongs to all of humanity. It is priceless and can only be offered as a gift—much like giving a flower to someone you care about. The simple act of receiving it brings meaning and joy. At the same time, making this knowledge accessible and easy to understand requires significant effort and resources.

If you feel inspired, you are welcome to support this project in many ways. You may contribute as a volunteer in developing the courses, purchase our merchandise and books, make a donation, or simply help spread the word.

Sharing information about our website, www.yogaopenyoga.com, on social media using the hashtag #YogaOpenYoga can make a meaningful difference.

The more people who discover the project, the easier it becomes to sustain and grow it.
