Site Guidelines
Site Guidelines
There are only a few simple guidelines to follow on our yoga learning site:
- be kind to others,
- respect the learning process by not cheating and completing your work honestly, and
- please refrain from any form of spam.
Kindness
People from many different backgrounds come here to learn yoga. Yoga does not divide people by nationality, culture, traditions, religious beliefs, gender, or any other differences. Be kind to others, and help create the kind of community you would want to be part of.
If you do not value kindness, this space may not be the right fit for you—you will find your like-minded community elsewhere.
We reserve the right to deny access to the learning system if this principle is not respected.
Honesty vs. Deception
Yoga teaches that the Highest Self (Atma, in Sanskrit) within every being is equally vast and profound. For this reason, people cannot be divided into “higher” and “lower” beings.
At the same time, individuals differ in their level of self-awareness. This is why people also differ in their sense of responsibility for their actions. Some may find it easy to deceive or act dishonestly, while others would not even consider it.
We do not see it as our role to judge or define a person’s level of self-awareness. The very fact that someone chooses to study yoga with us already indicates a high level of awareness.
Therefore, we apply the principle of “presumption of innocence” to every student. We trust that, unless proven otherwise, you will not cheat, deceive the learning system, manipulate, or intentionally mislead us in any way.
The most important test and examiner is life itself. If you deceive someone and begin to believe that you are smarter than others while everyone else is a fool, you are allowing this mindset to enter your life. In other situations, the same attitude may eventually work against you.
This is what is known as the Law of Karma—the law of cause and consequence.
We reserve the right to deny access to the learning system if this principle is violated.
If You Pause Your Training
You may use this site for an unlimited period of time and complete the courses at your own pace. The only requirement is that you visit the site regularly so we know you are still active.
If you remain inactive for more than six months, we will assume that you have chosen to leave the courses. In this case, you may be removed from the list of students, and all your scores and records may be deleted from the system.
This helps us avoid so-called “dead souls” in the system. However, you are always welcome to return and begin the learning process again from the very beginning.
