I have been waiting for two years to do this practice because I wanted to approach it consciously. Finally, I did it a few weeks ago. The results were not immediately obvious, and, at first, I thought that either I had done something wrong, or the practice was not as great as it is often described. But after a few days, it became clear that all I had to do was just wait. What have I noticed?
1. I sleep less and wake up at 5 am quite effortlessly. By myself. It has never happened before. Never. Moreover, I wake up feeling fresh and rested with no intention to stay in bed longer. It took me several days to get used to it since I was expecting it.
2. The complexion improvement. I cannot say that the skin on my face started shining as if it has been woven from the moonlight. However, now I can definitely see fewer annoying blemishes in a mirror.
3. I can't overeat anymore. It's become sooo uncomfortable both physically and emotionally to put an extra bite in my mouth. As a bonus, my stomach has shrunk, and it's become easier to breathe. As a result, pranayama yoga started making sense. It turns out that it is possible to breathe with pleasure!
4. I couldn't care less for coffee anymore. It's unusual considering I used to drink several cups of coffee a day enjoying every sip of it. Now I don't care. So, what's the point of it then?
It is certainly a great practice. Although, it is not as simple as it might seem. It requires a lot of patience, physical effort, and certain practical knowledge. But what I know for sure is that it is definitely worth it.
