02. MY THOUGHTS AND DISCOVERIES.

I think many people like the feeling of progress, development, achieving goals, setting new goals, etc. When you do something and periodically get a dose of happiness, then it is easier to do further, it stimulates you to continue moving.
But there are such directions or periods when further development is very slow or not at all.
You run for health, but still somehow take into account the result, how much you ran, at what speed, you evaluate yourself. And there is a desire to develop, next time to run a little more or a little faster.

But there are different days, with different moods and the body's capabilities change. One day you were cheerful and happy, ran 10k with pleasure, and then after the first kilometer you think, should I take a rest today. Or maybe fatigue has accumulated or illness is starting. And to make progress, you force yourself. It is especially bad if it causes injury.

You should demand less from yourself, but either upbringing or the principle of reward work is like this.
So far I have found two ways out for myself:
1. Sharply lower the bar - for example, you ran 10 km, and now 5 km and gradually increase it again, again a feeling of progress.
2. Plan for the long term to the detriment of the short term - for example, it is better to run 1 km, but every day, than to run 20 km at a time and then recover for a month.
