"12. Their cessation [is achieved] through practice and dispassion.
13. Of these, practice is a [continuous] effort to keep the mind stable.
14. But it becomes firmly rooted [only when] it is adhered to for a long time without interruption and with [due] attention.
15. Dispassion is a state of complete overcoming in one who is free from attraction to sensual objects and goals sanctified by tradition.
I'm trying to apply. I try to be impassive and keep the stability of consciousness... But it strongly reminds me of the parable about the white rabbit. "Just don't think about the white rabbit" - and the focus on the white rabbit is guaranteed!
The result seems unattainable... but I can't stop trying either, it happens by itself...
