02. MY REFLECTIONS AND DISCOVERIES.
The more important it is for us to match our expectations and reality, the more painful it is for us when they do not coincide. Let's imagine that a person is clinging with all his strength to an object, and something is dragging him away from this object. The person will be pulled if not torn. But if a person lets go of the object, then the suffering will stop.
On the other hand, what kind of person will he be who doesn’t cling to anything, doesn’t defend his point of view, just goes with the flow. And can he achieve something in life?
Karma yoga says that you need to do as honestly and well as possible, but not get attached to the results.
But what about motivation then? Is it possible to do something well and concentrated in one direction without motivation?
Why do something if it doesn't matter?
It seems to me that there is some kind of misunderstanding here. It's not all the same, but the goal and expectation shift. For example, to derive pleasure not from the result, but from the process of work.
Or they say, not out of fear or reward, but because the work needs to be done. Who does she owe? Doesn't it turn out that we have a certain idea of "should be" and by doing work we satisfy this idea.
In both cases, there is a result, in addition to the main one, pleasure from the process or satisfaction of one’s own ideas.
And again it turns out there is expectation, attachment and behind them suffering...
